“Catching Out,” the fifth episode of the fourth season of
Criminal Minds, follows the BAU team as they investigate a series of killings that occurred in rural areas around railroad tracks.
In an effort to solve this puzzling case, Agent Hotchner (
Thomas Gibson) teams up with Special Agent Kevin Liman, played by guest star James Black, as well as local law enforcement officials after learning that there's a serial killer who jumps trains and targets people living near the railway.
Tonight's episode was written by Oahn Ly, who is also credited for previous
Criminal Minds episodes such as “Distress,” “Identity,” and “Minimal Loss,” and was directed by Charles Haid, who has previously worked on
Nip/Tuck, Third Watch, and
Hill Street Blues.
Guest starring on tonight's episode is Andre Royo, who had a starring role on the HBO program
The Wire as drug addict and confidential informant "Bubbles" since the show's first season. Royo will be appearing as the character Armando Salinas. Additionally, Meta Golding, who is known as Tina Brown on
CSI and as Jennifer Mathis on
Day Break, will also guest star as Jordan Todd.
