Uncork the wine, Cougar Town
fans, because the show is staying alive. Today TBS officially renewed
the Courteney Cox drama for season 5, to consist of 13 episodes
premiering in 2014.
The comedy was salvaged by TBS after ABC canceled it, and its inaugural season on its new network has done fairly well, averaging around 2 million viewer per episode, putting it on par with TBS' other original comedy, Men at Work
The renewal also helps TBS keep more Cougar Town
available for its programming as it also has syndication rights, airing the first three seasons in daily reruns.
Despite the change in networks, Cougar Town
has retained its identity and charm. The show still mocks its lame title with opening title sequence vanity cards and no big cast changes or style alterations were made when it came to TBS.Cougar Town
airs Tuesdays at 10pm on TBS and the season 4 finale is schedule for special back-to-back episodes April 9.
