It's the return of Cougar Town and the beloved cul de sac crew! The show makes its official debut on its new network home, TBS tonight in "Blue Sunday." The season picks up after last season's finale on ABC when Jules (Courtney Cox) and Grayson (Josh Hopkins) got married. They are in Week One of marital bliss also known as the precedent setting week.

As Cougar Town has been known to do, the premiere starts off with poignant nod to what could have been the show's cancellation had TBS not picked up the show. These funny little quips, like the ever-changing title card, demonstrate the unique and lovable side of the show.

If you worried that the dynamic would change with Jules and Grayson getting married, you don't need to fear, it doesn't. If anything, their marriage just opens up a whole new set of themes that can be mined for jokes each week.

"Blue Sunday" takes advantage of that as Jules and Grayson deal with their first week of marriage and Ellie's declaration that precedents are determined during this crucial week. Of course, hilarity ensures as Grayson doesn't want his niceties to turn into chores.

With marital bliss also comes darkness for Jules as she enters one of her "blue" periods. Ellie diligently works to help prevent the blues from invading the rest of the crew. In the end, it leads to one of the most touching moments in Cougar Town history when the full realization of what Jules' marriage means for Ellie and Grayson.

Meanwhile, Bobby and Travis have some father-son bonding time with a lesson of running away from your problems. The normal mixed up dynamic of Travis being the parental unit for Bobby is in full action with a fun and not entirely unexpected ending.

Cougar Town may have changed networks, but the show is still as charming as ever. The wine, banter, dysfunction and craziness have continued on. This may be the only show that literally leaves me with a smile on my face as the half hour ends.

Cougar Town premieres tonight, Tuesday, Jan 8 at 10 pm ET on its new network TBS. Make sure to reset your DVRs as your previous saved recording will probably not pick up the change.
