This coming fall,
Cory in the House actor, J.R. Nutt, will be featured in an upcoming flick called
Skid Marks: The Movie, which is scheduled for release on Friday, October 5.
In the film, the
Cory in the House actor plays Leonard, joining lead stars Tyler Poelle and Mikey Post, in “a hardcore comedy about softcore medics.”
Directed by Karl Kozak,
Skid Marks: The Movie is a story about two rival ambulance companies in the town of Bayside. Due to budget cuts, however, the town is downsizing to just one ambulance company, resulting to fierce competition between the two contenders. Wacky hijinks ensue as misfits of the medical community take drastic measures, break any law and take medical care to new lows as they attempt to sabotage their foes and salvage their careers.
This isn't Nutt's first attempt on the silver screen. Aside from providing comic relief on
Cory in the House as Alexander, the owner of the local juice bar called the Liberry who thinks of himself as a good poet, he is also known for his appearances on several comedy movies. These include
Holidays with Heather, Darcy's Off-White Wedding, and
PrimeMates. Moreover, he has also tapped in other genres such as the horror film
The Love Ballad of Scarab Hack and the drama
Born on the Fourth of July.
Meanwhile, the cast and crew of
Skid Marks will be taking the show on the road, visiting select college campuses on the west coast this coming fall. Each stop on the tour includes entertainment, a pimped-out ambulance, some free stuff, a special students-only screening of the movie, and other surprises. Tour dates and other information will be shortly posted on the movie's official website.
