This summer, get ready for a wild weekend adventure as Lionsgate Studio presents College, a comedy film starring Drake Bell, Andrew Caldwell, and Kevin Covais. Bell is known for his role as Drake Parker on the Nickelodeon series Drake & Josh, Caldwell is credited for Transformers and Drillbit Taylor, while Covais is a fifth season American Idol finalist who is about to make his big screen debut.
Mostly filmed on the campus of Tulane University in New Orleans, College is about three high school seniors who visit a local college campus as prospective freshman without the knowledge that they are in for the wildest weekend of their lives.
When Kevin (Drake Bell) gets dumped by his girlfriend for being too dull, he decides to ditch the freshman orientation weekend at Fairmont University, where they had originally planned to go together. But his best friends Carter (Andrew Caldwell) and Morris (Kevin Covais) persuade him that the weekend away will help get his mind off her. Upon their arrival, one of the raunchiest fraternities on campus decides to enlist them as “pledges” in return for granting them access to the college party scene. The three high school seniors are forced to put up with the repulsive antics of fraternity brothers Teague, Bearcat, and Cooper. Nevertheless, they are presented with the opportunity to meet sorority girls like Kendall, Heather and Amy. As sparks fly all around, however, Teague feels threatened by Kevin’s new relationship with Kendall and takes his humiliation to a greater level. Now, the guys attempts to fight back, pulling a huge prank that might just land them on top.
The movie also stars Ryan Pinkston as Fletcher, Nick Zano as Teague, Zach Cregger as Cooper, Gary Owen as Bearcat, Haley Bennett as Kendall, Camille Mana as Heather, Ma'tay Williams as Brett, and Nathalie Walker as Amy.
College hits theaters on August 29, 2008.
