Rapper Lil' Zane to Appear on 'Cold Case'

Lil' ZaneCold Case returns tonight with a thrilling episode that taps on exploitation and the relationship of two brothers in the episode entitled “Wunderkind.”  Guest starring on the police procedural drama is Zane Copeland, who is best known as rapper Lil' Zane.

Read on to find out what's in store on tonight's episode of Cold Case.

Created by Meredith Stiehm, Cold Case is a series the centers on a police division that specializes in investigating old and unsolved crimes.  It stars Kathryn Morris as Detective Lilly Rush, Danny Pino as Det. Scotty Valens, John Finn as Lt. John Stillman, Thom Barry as Det. Will Jeffries, Jeremy Ratchford as Det. Nick Vera, and Tracie Thoms as Det. Kat Miller.

In the sixth episode of the season 5, Detective Lilly Rush and the rest of the squad will re-open the 1992 unsolved murder case of a 14-year-old inner-city math genius who was shot after his 16-year-old brother used the boy's expertise in counting cards and cracking safes for illegal benefits with a local gang.

Lil' Zane, who joins the show as Jester, is arguably best known for his debut album Young World: The Future, which was released in 2000.  He has been cast in movies like A Day in the Life, The Sun Will Rise, The Fighting Temptations, Dr. Dolittle 2, and Finding Forrester.  Aside from Cold Case, he has two upcoming films, Skeletons in the Desert and Diary of a Champion, which are currently in production stages.

“Wunderkind” is directed by Kevin Bray and is written by Greg Plageman, one of the series' co-executive producers.  In addition to the principle ensemble, this episode also includes Michael B. Jordan (All My Children), Maestro Harrell (The Wire), Curtis Williams (The Parent 'Hood) and Stu "Large" Riley (Law & Order).

Cold Case airs tonight at 9pm ET/PT on CBs
