cold caseLast week's episode of Cold Case marked the return of the CBS police procedural drama after a month of absence on the airwaves.  When Lilly and the team returned for work at Philadelphia Police Department, they tried to solve the mystery involving a popular deaf teen who went missing in 2006 as they discover a substantial splatter of the boy's blood in a storage room at the high school for the deaf he attended.

Tonight, Lilly and the rest of detectives will embark on yet another cold case.  Read on to find out what's in store for the episode “The Road."

The 15th episode of season 5 follows Lilly (Kathryn Morris) and Scotty (Danny Pino) as they travel to West Virginia to escort back to Philadelphia a suspected murderer who is believed to have abducted a woman from the parking lot outside her engagement party and then killed her.

While she's working on the cold case, Lilly is also struggling with the aftermath of her shooting and her mother's death.

"It's going to be really tough," show exec producer Veena Sud revealed.  "But she will succeed in finding hope."

Cold Case also stars John Finn as Lt. John Stillman, Jeremy Ratchford as Nick Vera, Thom Barry as Will Jeffries, and Tracie Thoms as Kat Miller.

Joining the main ensemble in tonight's episode are Kathleen Munroe, who previously appeared on shows like Beautiful People and Durham County, Damon Herriman, who was cast on Love MY Way and All Saints, Eileen Grubba, whose credits include Any Day Now, and Kristen Faye Hunter, who has an upcoming film called He's Just Not That Into You.

“The Road” is directed by Holly Dale and is written by Jennifer Johnson, one of the series' co-executive producers.
