After four years, the cast and crew of Cold Case remain keen and optimistic about what the future may hold for this CBS drama.  Part of the excitement is due to the fact that the hour-long police procedural drama will soon trample onto its 100th episode in just a few weeks.  Marking the milestone is the episode entitled “World's End,” which is scheduled to air on Sunday, November 4.

Kathryn Morris, who plays the lead character, Detective Lilly Rush, celebrated Cold Case's 100th episode with a bash two weeks ago, along with the rest of the cast and crew of the series.


“I love you guys. I could not ask for a better cast. I just thank you for supporting …giving yourself…your creativity and for being very kind to me and to the creative process of television,” she said during the party.

Created by Meredith Stiehm, Cold Case is show set in the city of Philadelphia that follows a police division that specializes in investigating old and unsolved crimes.  Aside from Morris, the series also features Danny Pino (Det. Scotty Valens), John Finn (Lt. John Stillman), Thom Barry (Det. Will Jeffries), Jeremy Ratchford (Det. Nick Vera), and Tracie Thoms (Det. Kat Miller).

In “World's End,” the team reopens the 1938 case of a woman strangled to death and dumped in a well.  The case also centers on the struggles of the Depression and Orson Welles' famous War of the Worlds radio broadcast.

Until now, Morris is astonished with the sensation of the series that has gradually captured its own solid following even outside the United States.

“I feel so fortunate,” she said.  “It's incredible to have an audience so devoted and loyal.  Cold Case is on all over the world.  I get letters from girls and young women in Germany, Slovenia, [and] Paris.”
