Though I was only in Los Angeles for four days of panel sessions at the Television Critics Association press tour, it was enough to glimpse the utter insanity that is the event. Days are packed with session after session as more than 100 TV critics ask questions to the new stars and showrunners as well as network executives.

Some panels aren't quite as packed as others, which makes it easy to notice TV critic biases. Getting the press to ask questions to The Real Housewives of Atlanta was like pulling teeth. However, if you stick around long enough you're bound to get a few hilariously off-the-cuff quotes. Culled from four days and more than 30 panels, I present my 10 favorite quotes from my time at this year's press tour.

10: “I was basically doing a lot of different types of impressions of my dad, but as women.”
– Kath and Kim star Molly Shannon, on many of the characters she played on Saturday Night Live

9: “What we actually do is we manifest a divergent identity dormant in a sealed-off portion of the medial temporal lobe."
– My Own Worst Enemy star Alfre Woodard, describing the science behind the show's split personalities

8: “Every viewer must be counted and no viewer should be left behind,”
– CW President Dawn Ostroff, invoking Al Gore when referring to the large number of online viewers for shows like Gossip Girl

7: “Lucille liked vodka and Tabitha likes scotch.”
– 90210 star Jessica Walter, comparing her Arrested Development and 90210 characters

6: “‘The character's a bit of a dick, but I think you should do it.'”
– The Mentalist star Simon Baker, quoting his 11-year-old daughter telling him to accept his role in The Devil Wears Prada

5: “As long as you're not kissing a black man.”
– Dexter star Michael C. Hall, explaining his family's first thoughts of him playing a serial killer by making reference to his Six Feet Under character

4: “I think the people that are really into Gossip Girl will watch Gossip Girl, and the people that are really into Chuck will leave us for Gossip Girl.”
– Chuck star Zachary Levi, commenting on the fact that the Josh Schwartz-created shows Chuck and Gossip Girl will both air Mondays at 8pm this Fall

3: “I actually let my vagina write half of the script.”
– The Ex List showrunner Diane Ruggiero, on the large amount of vaginal humor in the pilot

2: “If I get a wig, it will be a three-quarter wig because apparently I have a very low forehead line, which a lot of people comment on all the time. I am apparently from the monkey family. I hear that all the time. People are either rats or monkeys. I'm a monkey. Look at your friends. You're all either a rat or a monkey. It's true.”
– Kath and Kim star Selma Blair, several minutes into a hilariously long answer to a question about her hair on the show

1: “I got virgins on the stage.”
– Coolio's Rules star Coolio, proudly boasting about his kids' sexual histories (or lack thereof) with them on stage
