Actress Sarah Lancaster was born on February 12, 1980 in Overland Park, Kansas. When her family moved to Mission Viejo, California, she began taking acting lessons. Her talents soon attracted the attention of talent agents, and as a teenager, she took her first regular role, in the teen series Saved by the Bell: The New Class. She was brought in as one of the new cast members after producers retooled the show in 1994; she appeared as Rachel Meyers, the school’s resident fashion expert and shopping addict. She stayed with the show until 1996.
While shooting the show, Lancaster was tutored, and later entered classes at the University of California–Irvine. Upon graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and took numerous guest roles on shows such as Dawson’s Creek, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Dharma & Greg, Boston Public and That ‘70s Show. She then joined the cast of the drama series Everwood, entering its second season as Madison Kellner, a college student who becomes the love interest of Ephram Brown (Gregory Smith). He also took a recurring role in the comedy series Scrubs.
Lancaster later took on more regular roles on prime time. In 2004, she appeared as blackjack dealer Veronica Harold in the short-lived drama series Dr. Vegas. She was also part of the cast of the drama series What About Brian; she appeared as Marjorie Seaver for the first two seasons. She most recently appeared in the action-comedy series Chuck, playing the role of Ellie Bartowski, the sister of Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi) who looks about his best interests and wants him to have a girlfriend.
Lancaster also had experience in acting for films. After making her debut in the 1999 release Lovers Lane, she starred in other films such as Teacher’s Pet, Cruel Intentions 2, Catch Me If You Can and Smother.
