Season 2 of
Chuck got off to a big start last week with special guest star Michael Clarke Duncan. It doesn't end there, however, because the new season of
Chuck is full of big-time guest stars in just about every episode. Tonight at 8pm,
Chuck returns with another
O.C. alum in the form of Melinda Clarke and a multiple Emmy winner in John Larroquette.
When BuddyTV spoke to the cast of
Chuck at the NBC fall premiere party, we asked what guest stars they were most excited about. The answers varied, though Larroquette was obviously a big favorite for many of the cast members. Continue reading for more details on future guest stars and to watch our exclusive video interviews with the cast.
For star
Zachary Levi, working with Larroquette was a childhood dream come true, citing him as a “comic genius,” a sentiment Ryan McPartlin shares. Though
Sarah Lancaster only has a brief scene with Larroquette, she still calls it one of the highlights of the new season for her.
Levi is also excited to work with
Arrested Development star
Tony Hale, who comes on for at least six episodes as the new assistant manager of the Buy More, though Levi hopes he'll stay around for more after that. Aside from laughs, Levi was also excited about his love scenes with Jordana Brewster in several upcoming episodes.
Fans will also learn more about Captain Awesome's family life when his parents arrive to help plan his wedding to Ellie. They'll be played by Bruce Boxleitner (who also plays Governor Malden this season on
Heroes) and Morgan Fairchild.
Joshua Gomez's big guest star run-in is with football star Michael Strahan in the third episode, playing a bully who Morgan has to confront.
This wealth of guest stars isn't an accident. McPartlin attributes the eagerness of these actors to show up on Chuck to the fact that not only do they have action like
Alias and
24, but there's also the opportunity for comedy. That rare mix is what sets
Chuck apart and what attracts this wide range of actors to the show.
The second episode of
Chuck's second season airs tonight at 8pm on NBC.
