Past episodes of Chuck involving John Casey (Adam Baldwin) have always been entertaining on my book and tonight's "Chuck versus the Tic Tac" was no different. It was packed with action, funny moments, emotional punches and lots of shocking revelations. However, I have to admit that most of what I've learned about our favorite colonel was somewhat hard to swallow. Not that his past wasn't believable. It's actually because Casey has always been a good guy since season 1 and though mysterious, it never occurred to me to doubt where his loyalty lies.

Still, the three things revealed about John Casey were pretty riveting. We learned that he was once named Lieutenant Alexander Coburn, had a fiance named Kathleen and a daughter named Alex. But it's all in the past, no thanks to Colonel Keller (Robert Patrick), who recruited Casey for a secret operatives mission back in 1989. And now, poor Casey has been stripped off of his spy duties and is just a regular civilian. (Be sure to check back for a more detailed recap of the episode from our Chuck fan columnist!)

Spoilers for Chuck Season 3

Casey's story was a good segue way to Chuck and Sarah's real dilemma. Both are struggling with the decision on whether to choose love or love for country, and Casey's decision a long time ago only made Chuck ponder harder on his life as a spy and his relationship with Sarah, who coincidentally is being offered by Gen. Beckman to move to Washington so she could start anew.
