Sadly, "Chuck Versus the Mask" is Chuck's final new episode in February, but in honor of Valentine's Day, this episode packs plenty of couple-y moments to chew on (like a swizzle stick).

We open with Shaw's mission turned impossible. His intended target is the Mask of Alexander, but I'm surprised that a "good spy" like Shaw would be careless enough not to secure his descending line properly. Seems a little suspect, if you ask me.

As he runs out of air inside the vault, Chuck arrives to open the hatch. The museum is on full lockdown, and who should appear to help him but his eager Nerd Herder apprentice, Hannah! Chuck's surprised, but they make a good team as they frantically type into the computers and reboot the system. Impressed, the curator offers to hire them for the mask's unveiling the following night. Shaw tells Chuck to take the job, and well, it's a date.

A way to a girl's heart? Remembering how she likes her coffee. In this case, a double shot Americano, no cream or sugar with a swizzle stick to calm the nerves. But Sarah's not interested in Shaw's gesture, and she defiantly throws the stick away.

The gang's all there, and Shaw reveals the CIA's real desire for the mask. Apparently, the Ring has been transporting illegal items inside artifacts to bypass customs screenings. Their goal is to replace the real mask with a replica before the unveiling. Chuck's working the control room with Hannah, Casey's surveillance, and Shaw and Sarah will join the party as guests.

Saraw and Hannuck (er, I was never that great at making portmanteaus) get ready for their respective first missions. Shaw's a little too interested in creating a believable cover, but he's so darn charming while he does it. Hannah's just excited to get out of the Buy More.

At the party, Shaw gets handsy with Sarah, kissing her neck as he briefs her on the layout of the museum. She's a little put off, but she takes it like a pro. Meanwhile, Hannah and Chuck are in the control room. She, too, takes advantage of the situation and tells Chuck that he's the reason she took the Nerd Herder job. She goes in for a kiss and they smooch until Hannah sees Sarah in the surveillance monitor. Hannah's concerned that Sarah is trying to make Chuck jealous with a ridiculously good looking date, but he deftly replies, "If you're into the strong, kind of Supermanny type of a guy." Hilarious! Considering Hannah as Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang totally digs those Superman (i.e., Brandon Routh) types.

But there's no time for jokes as Chuck flashes on Nikos Vasillis, the Ring agent who first tampered with the mask. Chuck runs to warn Sarah and Shaw, and the latter reveals his familiarity with Vasillis. Through the monitors, Hannah sees Shaw bail (for the van) leaving Chuck and Sarah alone. Sad face. Darn misunderstandings!

Chuck manually shuts down the vault leaving Hannah to deal with fixing the problem alone. In the meantime, Sarah and Chuck hurry to get the masks switched. As Sarah attempts to make the trade, the Ring arrives to ruin the operation. Thankfully, with some clever maneuvering and butt kicking, they make the swap. Hannah's not happy with Chuck's abandonment, however, and she storms off with promises of a strictly professional relationship.

Eventually, the Ring lures Hannah back to the museum on a Nerd Herd call and locks her inside the vault to force Chuck to bring back the real mask. At the same time, Shaw and Sarah open the mask's base, releasing a poison gas and contaminating the Castle. Chuck assumes the counteragent is at the museum so he rushes off to try and find it. With a plan to "gas out" Vasillis, Chuck manages to find the counteragent and open the vault to free Hannah.

Shaw carries a weakened Sarah into the museum, and they quickly inhale the antidote. Chuck sees them share a moment, but he only smiles as he rushes to check on Hannah. Both couples appear lovey-dovey as Vasillis creeps behind the curtain.

Back at the Castle, Chuck's praised as a hero, but they also tell him that their team won't be around forever since the Intersect was designed for agents to work autonomously. I'm not ready for Chuck to get rid of his "training wheels", but he and Sarah share a nice semi-goodbye.

With Morgan and Ellie (who finally has the secret knock down) relieved to discover Chuck's "secret girlfriend", Chuck and Hannah making good use of the home theater room, and Shaw giving Sarah a backrub, all seems well... except for that wonky look Shaw gave while claiming he's the "safest guy in the world". Not to mention the creepy Ring panel that has Vasillis shot.
