That was some interesting information revealed about Casey in "Chuck Versus the Tic Tac." I can't say it enough, but I just love delving into character backstories -- especially when it concerns the past lives of super secret spies.

That said, Casey serves as a great foil for Chuck and his current predicament. Casey reveals in the episode that he chose to relinquish the love of his life in order to serve his country. Even with the bombshell of his supposed teenage daughter (though with a name like Alex how could she not be, right?), Casey insists that the past needs to stay in the past. I don't know about everyone else, but I like a man that lives with no regrets.

Of course, this only makes Chuck realize that he has a lot to think about and not very much time to make a decision -- particularly since Sarah is pondering a move across the country.

So if Chuck chooses to go for it and commit to spying, will his life turn out like Casey's? Perhaps. There's no doubt that Casey is an excellent soldier and spy, but he has no wife, no family and nothing to go home to except that darned bonsai. Granted, although it worked for him (at least until this recently forced stint as a civilian), is that what Chuck wants for his future?

However, given that this new fear-nullifying drug (Laudanol) appears to be a way for Chuck to use the Intersect to its fullest potential, will he finally have what he needs to forge ahead with his spy career, thereby forcing him to put any remaining feelings for Sarah to rest?

Yes, we know Chuck loves Sarah (he yelled it himself), but with less than ten episodes left this season and still without the promise of a fourth season, I might add, I can't begin to guess how the story will progress.

Will Chuck's final decision favor love or love of country? Or can he have both?
