Chuck has his first non-Sara Walker love interest tonight in the form of Rachel Bilson, best known as Summer Roberts on The OC.  This places Chuck in a little bit of a pickle, considering he has a fake girlfriend in Sarah Walker, a very public fake girlfriend.  You may notice the title is "Chuck vs. the Truth".  This is because the main villain of the episode (played Kevin Weisman from Alias), employs vials of truth serum to extract the information he needs.  And he's also a former gymnast.

A man is being tied up and interrogated.  The man doing the interrogating gives the tied up man some truth serum.  It works.  The interrogator is played by Kevin Weisman, of Alias fame.

Chuck and Sarah are in the Wienerlicious closet discussing tonight's double date with Ellie and Captain Awesome.  They get their stories straight for the date.  Back at the Buy More, Lou (Rachel Bilson) approaches Chuck about her broken phone.  She's freaking out about it – she can't start over if she loses everything in her phone.  Lou owns a deli in the mall, and often thinks of sandwiches.  Chuck promises he'll fix the phone.  When Lou leaves, Morgan tells Chuck that he was “mind cheating” with Lou.

The man who took the truth serum stumbles around on the street and finds a necklace.

At the sushi bar for the double date, things get awkward when Captain Awesome comments on their apparent lack of sex like.  The truth serum guy collapses in front of the sushi bar as the quartet exits.  Ellie helps him, an ambulance comes and takes the man and Ellie away.  Chuck takes his wallet and looks at ID.  Chuck has a flash.  The interrogator watches on from the sidewalk.

Captain Awesome rides the stationary bike like a madman.  Sarah and Chuck wait for Ellie to return from the hospital.  Awesome gives a pep talk to Chuck about having sex.  Ellie returns.  The nuclear spy guy (also known as truth serum guy) died.  Ellie thinks he was poisoned.  Ellie is worried about their cover – she thinks it's time they had sex.

Sarah and Casey get debriefed by Washington.  They learn that the dead nuclear spy had codes on him that would allow the person who had them access to nuclear secrets.  They tell Sarah and Casey to take Chuck to the morgue in case there are some clues only he can see.

Morgan has been ordered to help Harry Tang's wife pick out a gift for his anniversary.  Harry Tang's wife is a pretty big Asian-immigrant stereotype.  Lou returns.  Chuck gives her back her fixed phone.  Lou is very happy, gives Chuck a hug and a sandwich.  Lou has named a sandwich after Chuck.  They are flirting, but then Sarah shows up and awkwardness ensues.

Chuck is taken to the morgue.  He's put off by the naked dead guy.  They find something behind his ear...it's a bug.  Casey figures out that he was poisoned by some weird Pentathol thing that first made the man truthful, then eventually killed him.

Meanwhile, Ellie is being talked to by the interrogator (Weisman) who is in disguise as a cop who is asking about the dead guy.  He places the same type of bug behind Ellie's ear as was found behind the dead guy's.  Then, he has Ellie sign something, and when she clicks the pen, some sort of powder is expelled.  He leaves when Captain Awesome arrives.

Chuck hits up Wienerlicious.  He and Sarah talk about tonight's mission, which either involves having sex, or pretending to. Later, in the parking lot, he finds Lou.  Chuck tries to figure something out and explain he and Sarah's relationship.  Lou likes him, but won't do anything and won't allow any cheating to occur.

The Buy More co-workers took video of Morgan talking with his wife and edited it to make it seem like Morgan and Harry's wife are having an affair.  Tang freaks out.

Sarah comes into Chuck's room that night to spend the night together.  They aren't really going to have sex.

Ellie starts freaking out in bed with Captain Awesome – the truth serum is kicking in.

Chuck asks Sarah what the rules are for dating other people.  Sarah explains that it would be a very difficult proposition.  Ellie barges in and starts dropping truth bombs everywhere, mostly about Chuck's childhood – nothing incendiary though.

Casey shows up, after hearing some cross talk over the radio.  Ellie passes out on the couch, and Casey takes the bug  off from behind her ear.  She was poisoned.

Ellie is now in the hospital.  Casey looked at the surveillance and saw that it was the dude poisoning.  Chuck is pissed off and wants to go out and find the bad guy looking for the codes.  Casey kept the bug, and put into a sound proof box, so the bad guy isn't on to them. Chuck, rips it out of his hands and talks in the box, saying that they found the codes and that they're on Ellie.  He hopes that this will bring the bad guy to them at the hospital.  Awesome brings up Ellie's lucky sweater from the other night and, with it, the necklace that the dead guy gave her.  Chuck flashes on the necklace – that's where the codes are.

And the bad guy arrives.  He tracks the bug to a room where Sarah is lying on a gurney, posing as Ellie.  Sarah and Casey ambush him once he arrives, but he gets away to the other side of the room.  He shows the the antidote and the poison/truth serum.  He says he'll give them the antidote in exchange for the codes.  Before anyone can answer, Chuck barges into the room, yelling that he found the codes, and makes the bad guy drop the poison.  It falls onto the ground – now Chuck, Sarah, Casey and the bad guy are infected.  The bad guy snatches the necklace from Chuck and runs away.  They chase him.  Casey knocks him to the ground with a crutch, and the antidote flies through the air.  Sarah manages to catch it, but the bad guy gets away.  Since there's only enough for one dose of antidote, they all want Chuck to drink it.  Chuck wants to give it to Ellie.  They're all being very honest at this point.  Chuck runs to Ellie's room, the others follow.

Chuck gives Ellie the antidote.  She's feeling better.

The truth is coming out between Sarah, Chuck and Casey.  Chuck finds a recorder that the bad guy dropped and gets a flash – his real name is Reardon Payne.  He was a former gymnast who blew out his knee and now sells hard to find secrets to hard to find people.  Chuck and the other two race off to Payne's apartment.

Once there, they find Payne and pull their guns on him.  He offers them the antidote.  They're about to take when Chuck stops them, suspicious.  They make Payne sample one of their vials first.  He won't do it and starts jumping away, doing gymnast-type stuff.  Sarah scoffs and shoots him in the knee.  They poison him and find the antidote.

Chuck, before they take the antidote, asks Sarah if she and him are ever going to go anywhere real as a couple.  She says no.  Chuck thanks her for the honesty.  They drink the antidote.

Back at the Buy More, Harry Tang, thinking he's going to catch Morgan with his wife, walks into the theater room while Sarah, Casey and Chuck are in there being debriefed.  So, Tang has caught them.  Casey feeds him a load of bull about Tang being a government target for awhile and has him shipped off to Oahu.  So, Tang is gone.  For good, apparently.  Big Mike tells Morgan that he's been having an affair with Tang's wife.

Chuck enters the Wienerlicious and breaks up his fake relationship with Sarah.  However, we also learn that Sarah is able to withstand the effects of Pentathol and therefore may have been lying about her interest in Chuck, romantically.
