After tapping on Fred Willard and Swoosie Kurtz for a Hart to Hart-esque storyline, Chuck has enlisted Christopher Lloyd for a future spy mission. The 71-year-old actor is scheduled to appear in the third season's 16th episode, which is slated to air in April or May.

Lloyd, who is popularly known for his iconic portrayals of characters such as Emmett "Doc" Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy, Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Uncle Fester in The Addams Family and Addams Family Values, and Reverend Jim Ignatowski on Taxi, has been busy working on the big screen for some time now. He will next appear in Snowmen, The Last Call, the horror film Piranha 3-D, the comedy Serial Buddies and The Witches of Oz, just to name a few.

On Chuck, Christopher Lloyd will portray therapist who Chuck turns to when the pressures of the spy world become too much for him to bear. His casting was announced via Twitter by exec producer Josh Schwartz, who also noted that Back to the Future has been "a huge influence" on Chuck.

Meanwhile, NBC has set already set the finale of Chuck's third season on Monday, May 24 at 8pm. That leaves fans about three whole months before the special two-hour engagement.
