Carla Tortelli is played by Rhea Perlman in the award-winning sitcom Cheers. A disdainful and mean-spirited woman, she works as a waitress at the Cheers bar owned by Sam, often deriding her co-workers and customers. She has been married twice, and is the mother of four (eventually eight) children. Carla often has little luck with good-lucking or decent men, noting that they usually ignore her. She's known for her scathing wit and for her derogatory nicknames towards the other people in the bar, especially the prettier waitresses such as Diane and Rebecca.
