Judge Lets 'Celebrity Rehab' Cast Member to Stay in California Treatment Facility

Former
American Idol finalist and
Celebrity Rehab cast member
Jessica Sierra has been doing so well at the Pasadena Recovery Center in California that a judge has allowed her to stay in the facility to continue her treatment. The judge's ruling comes after West Coast officials told Sierra that in order for her to transfer her Florida probation to California, she would have to first go back to Florida, apply for California probation status, and then go back to the West Coast.
"It's almost nonsense," Jessica Sierra's attorney John Fitzgibbons told the
Tampa Bay Tribune. Fitzgibbons was the one who informed Circuit Judge Daniel Perry that every progress report and all other indications show that his client is doing well in the California facility.

Perry, in turn, said he didn't see why it would be necessary for Sierra to return to Florida and agreed that she seems to doing well in treatment. He also pointed out that if Sierra were to return to Florida, there would be still be a question where she would be allowed to stay.
Fitzgibbons is happy with the judge's decision, saying they didn't want Sierra to come back and sit around in Tampa for a couple of weeks,” especially since its there that's “she's been getting in trouble."
On December 1, Jessica Sierra was arrested in Ybor City, Tampa on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting an officer without violence. The arrest was made after her taping of
Celebrity Rehab, which took place in the same facility where the aspiring singer is currently receiving treatment.
Sierra's father, Joseph Sierra, is also happy that his daughter has been allowed to stay in California. He too is convinced that Sierra is doing well in treatment, saying that she is feeling good about herself and has been sober for 90 days.
Meanwhile, Jessica Sierra continues to be seen onscreen, with
Celebrity Rehab coming close to wrapping up its debut season.
