The week’s TV gossip and news – found in the sofa cushions just for you!
Tim Gunn is leaving Parsons School of Design for a position as Chief Creative Officer for Liz Claiborne. But don't worry, Project Runway fans - he will still be carrying on and making it work on the Bravo show. (Star Magazine)
"Buffy" fans bummed: Joss Whedon, creator of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Angel" has announced that he is no longer attached to the "Wonder Woman" feature project. (EW Online)
Andy Dick acts up, mauls Ivanka Trump and is kicked off the Jimmy Kimmel show. Insert your own: “In other news, sun rises in east" joke here. (PerezHilton)
Got Carrie Fever? If you've been living off your Sex and the City DVD's or the expurgated versions on TBS, and crossing your fingers that the movie will happen, this might be some good news.
Brooke Shields is reported to be starring in a one-hour pilot based on another Candace Bushnell novel, called "Lipstick Jungle." Now, this is slated to be on NBC, so no boobies or swears, but if the fashion is right, it might just tide you over until a movie gets made. (Yahoo)
A phrase I never really thought I'd write: In Jackass marriage-related news –
Johnny Knoxville splits. Bam Margera gets married. (???!!) Bam has known his new wife since the sixth grade, and, yes, the nuptials will be televised. ("Bam's Unholy Union" will premiere this Tuesday on MTV.) Now, I'm not saying that Bam's life doesn't look like quite a bit of fun…inconvenient and unhygienic fun, but fun nevertheless. However, committing to a life of alligators in the kitchen and/or firecracker wake-up calls takes one brave lady. (US Weekly, Philadelphia Daily News)
I am thrilled to report I can meet my pointlessly self-imposed quota of giving you one Hasselhoff-related item per posting:
David Hasselhoff will be appearing in drag in a Vegas production of "The Producers." Unfortunately, there are no pictures online as yet, but I am waiting with bated breath. (CNN)
