Biography

Actor Albert William Upton, better known as Willie Aames, was born on July 15, 1960 in Orange County, California.  He was part of the choir and the Madrigal ensemble during her high school years.  He studied at Edison High School located in Huntington Beach, California.  During his younger days, he was lead singer and guitarist for a rock band called Willie Aames and Paradise.

He was cast as Tommy Bradford on the Primetime Emmy nominated show Eight is Enough.  His work got him nominated for the Favorite Teen Dream – Male award at the 2004 TV Land Awards.  He was also a nominee for the Best Juvenile Actor in a TV Series or Special at the 1980 Young Artist Awards.

Willie Aames played the roles Eric Wilson on Blacke's Magic, Robbie Hamlin on The Edge of Night, Danny on The Love Boat, Leonard on The Odd Couple and Buddy Lembeck on Charles in Charge.  He also portrayed the lead role of evangelical superhero Bibleman on the Bible Man series.

Willie Aames' film credits include Paradise, Zapped, Killing Machine and Cut and Run.

His voice was lent to Hank the Ranger of Dungeons & Dragons, a CBS animated series based on the role playing game released by TSR with the same title.

Willie Aames wrote, directed and narrated the 2003 family film The Missy Files.

Willie Aames is one of the alumni on VH1's reality TV series Celebrity Fit Club : Boot Camp.  The show divides the 8 contestants into two groups and the teams are given several physical challenges every week.  Each members are also weighed regularly to see if they achieved their target goal weights.  A team composed of a nutritionist, a psychologist and a physical trainer oversees the participants.  Willie first appeared on the second season of the show, where he lost 19 pounds and was a member of team called The Winners.
