Hal Sparks was born on September 25, 1969 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is popularly known for his portrayal of Michael Novotny on the television series Queer as Folk. He also became a host on E!'s Talk Soup. Aside from TV appearances, he is also very much into music. In fact, he is the front man and guitarist for the metal band Zero. Hal's inclination to music became beneficial as he joined the reality show Celebrity Duets. Though he depicted a rocker façade, he was given credit for being true to himself. Sadly, Hal was the 6th participant to be eliminated.
