At the end of last season, Castle teased us with a kiss and a promise from its two lead characters. But what happened next? A new promo video for the Castle season 5 premiere gives us a look. Keep reading for a look at Castle and Beckett's morning after.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

WARNING: These are some major Castle season 5 spoilers we're about to throw at you. You may not want to watch. But you should. Because the video is just that great.

Most promo videos go heavy on the past-season footage and then give us only a taste of what's to come. Not this video. Castle is good to us that way. There are mere seconds (we're talking like one or two) of setup from the season 4 finale before we get into the steamy goodness of Castle season 5. Check it out below:

Highlights (you know, other than the whole awesome thing):

  • "So it wasn't a dream." Still, I have to say that even the bare mention of a dream makes me a little scared that the happy morning actually is a dream. Terrifying thought...
  • While still in bed, both Castle and Beckett seem awfully pleased about their night of passion.
  • I really wish I could get drenched in a rainstorm, share in a night of wild sex and then wake up looking like Kate Beckett in the morning. Sigh...
  • The piecing together of little bits of paper is probably part of the actual case.
  • Beckett has a gun. Does this mean she is back with the police already?
  • Uh oh -- Creepy safe!
  • Mistake? Mistake! No Castle. No it was not a mistake. How dare you ever suggest such a thing!
  • Why hello there, re-election posters for Senator William H. Bracken (guest star Jack Coleman)!
  • More apartment explosions? Castle does love those.
  • That final clip where Castle wakes up alone in his bed. Not good. Granted, if this moment happens shortly before Beckett returns (from the bathroom or getting coffee or something), then it works just fine.

The Castle season 5 premiere airs on Monday, September 24 at 10pm on ABC.
