First up, let's take a look at the official synopsis for the episode from ABC:

"The Lives of Others" -- In the show's 100th episode, Castle finds himself in the unfortunate position of NOT being able to work a case. While he's holed up in the loft with a broken leg, Beckett goes off to investigate the death of an IRS agent without him, leaving Castle miserable and bored.  But when he thinks he witnesses the murder of a young woman in the apartment across the street, he is thrown into a Rear Window-esque murder mystery that hits much too close to home.

In the first sneak peek video from the episode, we find Castle trapped in his wheelchair and begging Ryan and Esposito to take him out on a case with them.

Here are a few more things we know from watching the video:

  • Castle isn't as bother by his knee as he is by boredom.
  • Castle gets a little loopy when he's on painkillers.
  • Ryan and Esposito find something (or should I say someone) very interesting to look at with Castle's binoculars.
  • Castle wants to be Charlie to Beckett, Ryan and Esposito's "angels." Plus, the boys do a fantastic Charlie's Angels pose.

In the second sneak peek video from the episode, we find Beckett and Esposito talking to Lanie about their latest victim.

Here are a few more things we know from watching the video:

  • The murder is a brutal one as the woman was hit repeatedly with a bat.
  • They have a video of the murder, but it doesn't do them much good.
  • The murder was premeditated.

In the third sneak peek video from the episode, we see that though he may have resisted them at first, Castle has embraced the binoculars as a way to stave off the boredom of being stuck at home.

Here are a few more things we know from watching the video:

  • Castle wishes he too was young and underemployed like his neighbors.
  • Castle inadvertently catches a woman cheating on her husband with a handsome young man.
  • Castle watches the couple fight over the affair when suddenly things get violent.

What do you think now that you've read the synopsis and seen the preview videos from the Castle 100th episode? Do you think Castle actually saw a murder? Will he be able to solve it from his wheelchair?

Castle airs on Monday nights at 10pm on ABC.
