Julian Ovenden


Julian Ovenden was born in 1976 and is the son of Canon John Ovenden, chaplain to the Queen of England. He has an exceptional tenor singing voice and he also plays the trumpet, trombone and piano, thus growing up being very musically talented. When Ovenden was seven years old, he received a scholarship to sing in the choir at St. Paul's Cathedral and six years later, he was awarded a music scholarship to Eton College. He later attended Oxford University on a choral scholarship. After graduating, Ovenden attended the Webber-Douglas Academy of Performing Arts where he was again awarded with an Arts Council Scholarship. This was when his transition to acting happened. Ovenden appeared in theater productions before setting foot on television. He then appeared on Foyle's War, an award winning detective series in the U.K. He also has a supporting role on Cashmere Mafia, the new ABC series.

Eric Burden is played by Julian Ovenden in the television series Cashmere Mafia.
