Bonnie Somerville was born on February 24, 1974 in Brooklyn, New York and was raised in Flatbush, Brooklyn by her mother and her large Irish Catholic family. At a young age, she started singing, acting and appearing in high school plays. She then attended Boston College as a Musical Theater major and later moved back to New York to pursue an acting career. When she was seventeen she got a development deal to sing her own music and sang with many bands in the New York City music scene. It was then that she was discovered by a modeling scout. She became a model shortly, doing projects in New York and Europe. When Somerville was 22, she moved to LA to finally pursue acting and landed a lead role on Shake, Rattle and Roll: An American Love Story. Her television appearances include NYPD Blue, Grosse Pointe,
The O.C. and Cashmere Mafia.
Caitlin is played by Bonnie Somerville in the television series Cashmere Mafia. Caitlin joins three other women as they compete with their husbands and male colleagues, and actually do better than them. Caitlin, along with her three friends, compose the successful executives who are the Cashmere Mafia.
