Born on November 30, 1999, Samuel Carman made his television debut on FOX’s
Bones in 2007, and was subsequently cast for the role of Artie Vega in the CBS television series, Cane. He was also cast in the sports drama, Oranges, where he played Mario.

One of the three children of Alex and Isabel Vega, Artie is a brother to Jaime and Katie and a grandson to the wealthy Pancho Duque. Pancho is the owner of the family's sugar and rum business, which he will be turning over to one of his two sons, Alex and Frank. Making this decision is hard for him, as Alex and Frank have different points of view regarding the family business. Adopted son Alex is very concerned with the stability of the business, which is being threatened by rivals such as the Samuels, while Frank is more concerned with luxury and women.
