Born on December 22, 1936 in New York City, Hector Elizondo is a Golden Globe nominated and Emmy award winning actor whose roots go back to the Ballet Arts Company at Carnegie Hall where he studied dance. In 1963, he played parts in off-Broadway shows Kill the One-Eyed Man and The Great White Hope. In the play Steambath, he played God in guise of a Puerto Rican steam room attendant. This was his first major success, followed by appearances in films Young Doctors in Love and The Other Sister. His role on the movie Pretty Woman garnered him a Golden Globe nomination, even if his screen time was only ten minutes. Elizondo is married to Carolee Campbell, an Emmy Award winning actress, photographer, and celebrated publisher. They live in Sherman Oaks, California.
Panchito Duque is played by Hector Elizondo in the CBS television show Cane. Panchito or Pancho is the family patriarch and wealthy businessman of who owns a successful rum and sugar business in South Florida. He has a son, Frank and a daughter, Isabel, who is the wife of Alex, Pancho's adopted son. Together they work to keep the family business up until the Samuels, their biggest rival, approach them with a deal that sounds too good to be true. Cane follows the drama that surrounds the wealthy family immersed in the lucrative business of sugar and rum.
