Born on October 20, 1983 in Herzliya, Israel, Alona Tal was educated at the Thelma Yellin School of Arts in Tel Aviv and the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City. However, her acting career did not start until after she served two years in the Israeli Army. Her entrance to the entertainment industry started with appearances in commercials, which helped her land a role in Lihiyot Kochav (Being a Star). She subsequently landed roles for the soap opera Zimmerim (Guest Rooms) and Ha-Pijamot (The Pajamas). Tal later moved to New York where she was mentored by Wyclef Jean, with whom she recorded a song. Traveling to Los Angeles, she landed the role of Meg Manning in
Veronica Mars , and in 2006, she was cast for the role of Alex (who was later re-named Jo) in
Supernatural . In 2007, Tal accepted the role of Rebecca King in the CBS series, Cane.
Rebecca King is played by Alona Tal in the CBS television series, Cane. Rebecca is the girlfriend of Jaime Vega, son of Alex and Isabel Vega. Jaime's father is a possible heir to the sugar and rum business of his grandfather, Pancho Duque.
