Beauty and the Beast: Cane
Beauty and the Beast: Cane
In BuddyTV’s 2007 Fall TV Guide, we stared at countless photographs of the new show casts to determine which were most pleasing to the eye (the “Beauties”) and which weren’t so pleasant (the “Beasts”). In the end, we settle on Private Practice, Cane and Gossip Girl as having the hottest casts, while Cavemen, Dirty Sexy Money and Back to You all came up short in the looks department.

CBS' new Tuesday night drama, Cane, is one of my picks as most promising new fall show, and it doesn't hurt that the cast is also ridiculously good-looking. The drama revolves around the powerful Duque family, who made their fortune in sugar and rum. The family's future may not be entirely certain, as their arch-rivals, the Samuels family, are doing their best to take over the Duques' fortune, but one thing is certain: all three generations of Duques are smokin' hot.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Rita Moreno
Rita Moreno

Let me start with Rita Moreno, who plays Amalia, the matriarch of the Duque clan. Moreno may be a septuagenarian who has been performing for almost six decades—she was Anita in the 1961 film adaptation of the Broadway musical West Side Story, for crying out loud—but she is still one foxy mamacita. If I look half as good as she does, at half her age, I will consider myself blessed with genes of steel.

Paola TurbayPaola Turbay

Paola Turbay plays Isabel, the beautiful wife of Alex Vega (Jimmy Smits) and daughter of Amalia and Pancho Duque (Moreno and Hector Elizondo). Turbay has proven herself to be at least the second most beautiful woman in the universe, becoming Miss Colombia in 1991 and the first runner-up in the Miss Universe pageant in 1992. It's hard to believe that her character Isabel has borne three children. But those children's friends sure are lucky because she's certainly one of the hottest MILFs on TV.

Eddie Matos
Eddie Matos
Soap veteran Eddie Matos plays the impossibly dreamy Henry Duque, youngest child of Pancho and Amalia. He, with his dark eyes and perfectly tousled locks, is sure to get female hearts racing as he sizzles is way through his lines.

The Young Folks

Twenty-two-year-olds Michael Trevino and Israeli-born Alona Tal (Meg Manning from Veronica Mars) play teenage lovebirds Jaime Duque and Rebecca King. Jaime is struggling with the decision to be the dutiful son and attend MIT as his father Alex would like him to do, or to follow his heart and marry the lovely Rebecca. Trevino's brooding dark eyes and svelte young physique, paired with Tal's honey-brown eyes and creamy complexion make them a most striking couple. Lina Esco is no slouch in the looks department either. This long-legged beauty plays Jaime's little sister Katie, who likes to hit the clubs. There are sure to be many scenes in which she traipses about wearing only the skimpiest of tops.
