Jonas Brothers: Kevin is Not Leaving!

Contrary to what Star magazine is reporting, Kevin Jonas is not leaving the Jonas Brothers.  Fans can now breathe a sigh of relief as the hit Disney trio insisted on their MySpace page that rumor is completely false.

Recently, reports have surfaced that the Jonas Brothers is losing a member and that Kevin, 21, was quitting the group to pursue a solo album of "adult music."

“Kevin wants adult fans, and he wants to sing adult music," a source told the magazine.  "He loves his brothers but he definitely wants his solo career and won't be part of the group forever."

But that's just plain baloney.

Responding to the controversy, the group wrote, “There is a rumor that one of us is leaving to group.  Not true.  We love what we are doing and hope to do it together for a long time."

The Jonas Brothers, consisting of brothers Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas, have released three albums but have gained popularity through their second album called “Jonas Brothers.”  The band made their film debut the Disney Channel Original Movie called Camp Rock where they play a band called Connect Three.  On Camp Rock, Joe plays the lead male role and lead singer Shane Gray, Nick plays the role of Nate the guitarist, and Kevin plays Jason the guitarist.  Due to the success of Camp Rock, a sequel is presently in development with the Jonas Brothers set to return, along with their brother Frankie Jonas.

Now that the Jonas Brothers have cleared up the rumor, fans can now get ready as the boys rock Time Square.  The Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift and Lionel Richie will reportedly perform live on the ABC broadcast of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve.

The annual tradition kicks off Wednesday, December 31, at 10pm ET.
