Last season on Burn Notice
, Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) spent most of their time hunting down and arresting people on Simon Escher's (Garret Dillahunt) list until they found that the last man on the list was dead. This left him with unsolved mysteries that led to his speculation about several inconsistencies in the files regarding his burn notice.
The season 5 finale made way for Michael's face-to-face encounter with the man who burned him, Anson Fullerton (Jere Burns). For the longest time, Anson was blackmailing Fiona to get Michael and his team to execute dangerous missions, committing crimes along the way, on his behalf. In what seemed to be the biggest bomb of the finale, Fiona Glenanne (Gabrielle Anwar), suddenly felt she had enough and turned herself in to the FBI for the crimes Anson had framed her for.Finale Review: What will Michael do for love?

Just when everything seems to go his way, Michael suddenly loses someone who matters the most - Fiona. Gabrielle Anwar, who plays Fiona Glenanne, shares her thought on Fiona's sudden thought of turning herself in: "It was inevitable. I think it was the only choice that Fiona has. Otherwise, Michael, Jeffrey [Donovan]'s character, is going to be strung along by Anson indefinitely."
Anwar also somehow spills on what could happen in Burn Notice
season 6 as she expounds, "I'm hoping he'll go to any lengths to free me, now that I'm locked up. I think that's perhaps one of the more realistic reasons why Fiona sacrificed herself, because she thinks that if anyone can get her out of jail, it will be Michael."
With this, we can presume and expect an interesting arc on how Michael will try to free Fiona. Prison Break
