Michelle Trachtenberg blossomed as the teenage sister of Buffy Summers on the series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. For three consecutive years since 2001, she earned several Saturn Award nominations for portraying Dawn Summers. Although she was introduced on Buffy the Vampire Slayer in season five, she eventually became one of the central characters of the show. While she appeared to be human in appearance and function, she was actually a dangerous magical artifact known as the Key.

Michelle Trachtenberg worked on a string of movies after her stint on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She starred in the teen flick EuroTrip, was cast in the drama Mysterious Skin, and landed the lead role in the comedy-drama Ice Princess as Casey Carlyle.

On the critically acclaimed HBO drama Six Feet Under, Michelle Trachtenberg appeared as the character Celeste on four episodes of the series. Subsequently, she provided the voice of Lindsay Lohan on two episodes of Robot Chicken.

After her inclusion in Kickin It Old Skool, the former Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress will be providing the voice of Tanthalas “Tanis” Half-Elven in the fantasy adventure movie Dragonlance: Dragons of Autumn Twilight. It follows a group of adventurers, including a dwarf, half-elf, warrior, mage, knight and kinder, thrust to war as an army of dragons attack their homeland. Slated for release in September, the film also features the voice of Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville) and Kiefer Sutherland (24).

At present, Trachtenberg is filming the upcoming TV pilot The Hill. She stars as Maggie Rogers in a plot about a Senator’s aide and his unexpected attraction to the daughter of his boss’ rival. Also included on the series are Eric Christian Olsen as Matt O'Brien, Wendie Malick as Senator Lowel, and Mark Moses as Senator Rogers.

Lastly, she’ll be starring in The Possibility of Fireflies. Slated for 2008, the drama is about a single mother who struggles to raise her two daughters on her own after her husband abandons her. She will be playing Gwen Roman, one of daughters, along with Kirsten Prout as Ellie Roma, and Kristen Huff as Carrie Mayes.
