Seth Geshell Green was born in Overbrook Park, Pennsylvania on February 8, 1974. Shortly after he was born, he had his first glimpse of fame. His birth was used in a pamphlet for natural child birth. He was brought up Jewish, and in his second film role played a 1940s Jewish boy in Woody Allen’s Radio Days.
Seth Green’s acting stints started when he was ten years old, when he appeared in A Billion for Boris. After that he appeared in Big Business, and My Stepmother is an Alien, with his later Buffy co-star Alyson Hannigan. In 1987, he appeared in the film Can’t Buy Me Love opposite Patrick Dempsey and Amanda Peterson. He was also seen in the miniseries It and on all Austin Powers movies. He next made an appearance in Enemy of the State and The Italian Job, before being cast in Rat Race, Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, and Without a Paddle. His first television appearances were in Tales from the Darkside and Amazing Stories during the 1960s. Green was also in The Wonder Years, as well as numerous commercials. He sparked the catch phrase “Cha-Ching!” in a television ad for Rally’s Hamburgers. His next role was opposite Jennifer Love Hewitt in the short-lived series Byrds of Paradise. The two worked together again on Can’t Hardly Wait. In 1997, he joined the cast of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as Oz, during the show’s second to fourth seasons. Oz is a taciturn teenager who is the lead guitarist of the band Dingoes Ate My Baby, as well as the boyfriend of Willow. Green has also appeared on other series, like The X-Files, That ‘70s Show, Will & Grace, Entourage and Grey’s Anatomy. He is also known for co-creating and producing the stop motion animated series Robot Chicken, where he voices a number of characters. He also did a voice over for Chris Griffin of the Family Guy.
