Marcus Paul Blucas was born on January 11, 1972 in Butler, Pennsylvania. When he attended Girard High, he became the star center of its basketball team. He also played basketball at Wake Forest University where he graduated in 1994. Later on, after not getting accepted in the NBA, he moved to England where he played pro basketball for a year. He initially wanted to become a lawyer, but changed his mind and intended to become an actor instead. His film appearances include Inflammable, Pleasantville, We Were Soldiers, and First Daughter.

Riley Finn is played by Marc Blucas in the television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Riley was one of Buffy's boyfriends, and was an undercover agent for a secret government organization named Initiative. Initially, they kept their identities from each other but later on Buffy found out that Riley was really an agent. Buffy and Riley battled demons together and saved each other's lives on certain instances, but Riley was never let into Buffy's inner circle. After a while, the Initiative was destroyed and Riley was free from his military standing. Soon after that Buffy and Riley broke up due to the change in his attitude. He left Sunnydale to pursue greener pastures and got married to Sam, another demon hunter.
