Among the throng of new shows set to debut this fall is Brothers, a comedy from Fox about, well, brothers.  It stars Michael Strahan as former NFL superstar Mike and Daryl "Chill" Mitchell as restaurant owner Chill, estranged brothers who need to get along after Mike has to move in to his home town of Houston.  Playing their parents are Carl Weathers and CCH Pounder.

The half-hour comedy follows this family, the Trainors.  Mike is one of those guys who looks like he has it all - good-looking, wealthy, recently retired NFL player who is living the high-life in New York City.  One day he gets a phone call from his mom who wants him to move back to Houston.  When he does, he realizes that a lot of things have changed.  His brother Chill is now in a wheelchair after a car accident, and is trying very hard to keep his restaurant afloat with the help of his associate Roscoe (Colton Dunn).

Because it's called Brothers, the Fox comedy will feature the sibling rivalry between the brothers, which, they realize quick enough, haven't lessened with age.  Little do they know, however, that if they just put all their bickering aside, they can each other's biggest asset.   Helping them in their journey are their parents - their father, whom everyone refers to as coach, since he coaches the local high school football team; and their mom, the stern mastermind of the household. In fact, after learning that Mike's business manager ran off with all his money, she hatches a plan to make everything work.

And in old family sitcom fashion, she makes her sons realize that while they don't always like their family, it's the only one they've got.
