In honor of Mother's Day, BuddyTV has compiled this list of our 10 favorite motherly moments.

On Brothers and Sisters, Justin tried to kick his drug habit in rehab, though the arrival of the crazy Walkers on Family Day would drive anyone to substance abuse. Yet amidst the insanity the family brings, mom Nora (Sally Field) continues to try her best to love and stay involved with all her children. During a therapy session, Justin reveals that his reason for wanting to get better is on a tape recorder.

He plays a message Nora sent him while Justin was fighting in Afghanistan. The recorded message beautifully illustrates Nora's deep affection for all of her children and how, though she seems overbearing, she secretly thinks they're all doing just fine. The message ends with Nora telling her youngest son Justin, “We all miss you beyond words, my sweet boy.” Just thinking about it is tearing my eyes up, as it shows not just her immense love of the entire family, but especially Nora's remarkable power to nurture and love her children unconditionally.
