Gilles Marini To Be a 'Brothers and Sisters' Series Regular Next Season?
Returning for a late Valentine's Day episode on Brothers and Sisters this weekend, actor Gilles Marini is just as excited as we are.  We're thinking the network is too, since it looks like ratings shot up when he first appeared on the series.  Maybe that's why the guy's in negotiations to be a regular on the ABC drama.

On an interview with Zap2it, Gilles Marini revealed that things are looking good with regards to his contract on the series.  His contract has been extended to the next season of Brothers and Sisters, which certainly merits a hooray from the fans.  Of course, we're thinking Sarah Walker (Rachel Griffiths) would appreciate it as well.
Asked about the discussions for being a series regular, Marini explained: "They are looking really good.  I can't wait for the day the show gets picked up again.  That would be my first regular TV part I've ever had, so it's very exciting.  It's a huge accomplishment for me."

We can only beg the ABC head honchos for this miracle.  "I'm excited, but nothing is concrete until the show is picked up," the actor added.

But until then, the writers are doing what they can for the character Luc Laurent.  Marini has been busy filming his Brothers and Sisters appearances, so he's getting to know his part more.

"[Y]ou learn so much about my character that you never could believe, how he grew up and how he is.  It's deeper than ever," he said.  "This is what I've been hoping, dreaming of for a show of this magnitude.  Getting to develop a character that's interesting."

What's really getting interesting on Brothers and Sisters is Luc's relationship with Sarah.  They'll be meeting once again on the upcoming episode known as "A Valued Family," so it will surely heighten the tension for the two.

"This is when the character, Luc Laurent, sees Sarah for the first time," Marini explained.  "It's beautiful.  It doesn't go as easily as people may think.  There's a huge conflict, obviously.  As everyone knows, she is with someone else."

Despite the complications, we all know it's Luc she'll end up with.  Or at least, that's what we hope for.  Luckily, Gilles Marini couldn't help but agree: "Finally, a man completes her."
