From one entertainment icon to another, actress Sally Field took part in the legacy left behind by one of Hollywood's biggest stars, Paul Newman. The Academy Award-winning actor passed away recently, and his friends, family and colleagues honored him. The star of the hit drama
Brothers & Sisters,
Sally Field spoke about how it was working and spending time with Paul Newman before his unfortunate demise.
“I was blessed to have known him. The world is better because of him. Sometimes God makes perfect people and Paul Newman was one of them,” Field said. The screen legend inspired many with his success and philanthropic acts, including the actress.
Many other celebrities have paid homage to the prolific film star, such as John Cusack, David Letterman, Martin Scorsese, Robert Redford and
George Clooney. The Association of Hole in the Wall Camps, which Newman founded in 1988, also released a statement about him. “All who knew him, worked with him and who have been touched by his kindness and generosity are extremely fortunate. It was Paul's dream that the camps continue to thrive and provide laughter to children who need it most, and we will keep that dream alive.”

Absence of Malice.
