Brothers and Sisters made a striking return last week with an episode that saw Elizabeth's illness and her uncle's sacrifice causing a volatile and emotional confrontation between Kevin and Tommy. Kitty, on the other hand, prepared for her upcoming promotional tour of her book by doing mock interviews with some of Robert's employees. This week, Kitty goes public with her tell-all book in the episode called “Sibling Rivalry.”
Read on for a preview of the 12th episode of
Brothers and Sisters' third season.
“Sibling Rivalry” follows Kitty (
Calista Flockhart) as she makes an appearance on
Live with Regis and Kelly in order to promote her tell-all book. However, she suspects that Robert (
Rob Lowe) is hiding something big from her. Meanwhile, Sarah (
Rachel Griffiths) gets caught in some serious financial trouble that could keep Greenatopia from making it off the ground, and Tommy (Balthazar Getty) teams up with Saul (
Ron Rifkin) to push Holly (
Patricia Wettig) out of the family business.
“Sibling Rivalry” was written by Josh Reims and Liz Tigelaar. Joining the cast in tonight's installment are Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa, who appear as themselves. Also guest starring are Nigel Havers as Roger Grant, Eric Christian Olsen as Kyle DeWitt, Will McCormack as Ethan Tavis, Leonard Wu as Christopher Chao, and Cotter Smith as Gordon Alexander.
In other news, word on the street is that the walker family may soon be losing a loved one. According to E! Online's source, the show's writers and producers have rewritten certain storylines in order to phase out
Balthazar Getty before the current season ends.
"Episode 19 is expected to be his last," the insider said.
The show's rep declined to comment on the issue but Getty's rep said the rumor is "not true."
Still, the insider maintains that Balthazar is leaving the show and isn't expected to return as a series regular next season.
