The main story that's keeping Brothers and Sisters going this season is Kitty's cancer, since the Walkers are dreadfully worried about it. Still, it's what's keeping them together even more. That's particularly evident tonight on "Almost Normal," as a surprise guest makes a visit that will help ease the pain of the family.
On the new episode of Brothers and Sisters, Robert (Rob Lowe) deals with the family's reaction when he dwells more on the condition of his wife. Despite the joy they all shared at the engagement of Justin (Dave Annable) to Rebecca (Emily VanCamp), there's still some bad news to tell.
Nora (Sally Field) gathers everyone and each Walker struggles to stay intact as they find out about Kitty (Calista Flockhart) and her cancer. They all try to comfort the couple and support her as she gets through her illness. But what they really need to do is to think of options regarding which treatment could possibly be best for her.
After they decide, Kitty returns to the office of Dr. Avadon (guest star Amy Aquino) and is accompanied by her husband and mother Nora. The physician discusses the disease even more, which might mean Kitty's getting chemo.
While she's resigned to her fate, her two companions can't help but argue over it. Classic traits of the Walker family, but they'll push through.
As for the good news on this episode, a surprise visitor from afar will be coming back home. Given the "from afar" clue, it could either be Sarah (Rachel Griffiths) from France or Tommy (Balthazar Getty) from Mexico. But since we've seen the photos for next week's episode, well, you can bet who's already headed back to
Brothers and Sisters.
