It turns out Rob Lowe won't be doing another ABC drama series after all. Sources confirm to
Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello that the 45-year-old
Brothers and Sisters actor is in talks of joining the cast of NBC's
Parks and Recreation, which has been renewed for a third season.
Lowe, who will be saying goodbye to his
Brothers and Sisters character Robert McCallister by the end of the show's fourth season, will be appearing on
Parks and Recreation in multiple episodes and is likely to extend his stint into season 3.
Since things aren't written in stone yet, details about Lowe's character on
Parks and Recreation are being kept under the wraps.
Prior of
Brothers and Sisters, Rob Lowe starred as Dr. Billy Grant on the series
Dr. Vegas and as Deputy Communications Director Sam Seaborn on
The West Wing. In the big screen, he appeared in
The Invention of Lying and the
Austin Powers movies.
Is heading to
Parks and Recreation a good career move for Rob Lowe? Or is this casting more beneficial for
Parks and Recreation? Which character do you want to set him up with?
