American actor Kevin Chapman found his way to acting in the most unusual of cir!$#!#stances. Then working for the Cultural Affairs Department of the Boston mayor’s office, he met with the late film director Ted Demme, who offered him a role in his crime thriller Monument Ave. He got a supporting role, and it whetted his appetite for more acting roles.
Chapman has since appeared in numerous others films, including The Cider House Rules, In the Bedroom, Blow, Mystic River, 21 Grams, Ladder 49, In Good Company and Unknown. He also made several television appearances, playing guest roles in The Practice, The Agency, CSI, NYPD Blue, Boston Legal and Criminal Minds.
Chapman’s first regular television role was in Brotherhood, a cable drama series which premiered in 2006. He played the role of Freedie Cork, an Irish-American gang leader and the boss of returning criminal Michael Caffee (Jason Isaacs); the two are frequently in conflict over their beliefs.
