Alright, this whole engagement situation is getting a little out of hand, and Melissa has taken it to a whole new level when she threatens to sue her fellow Dance Moms just for talking about her engagement. I can understand Melissa's frustration about having nosy friends, but what do you expect? They are around each other constantly and the other moms are just trying to act excited about the obvious engagement (which Melissa STILL has not formally admitted to).
Never once did I get the impression they were being malicious about it, but rather have been trying to get it out of her by joking around. I mean come on, they took her to look at wedding gowns and got her a stripper - these aren't exactly "mean girl" behaviors. Clearly Melissa's outrageous reaction and threats to sue are indicative that she has got some other legal issues going on with her ex. The worst part is that the girls are dragged into it, and Maddie almost has to forfeit the competition because her mom refuses to fess up.
Reality check, Melissa, if you are going to be on a reality show you should expect all of your business to become public. If you thought this was supposed to be a show all about dance, think again.
A New Trio
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
Okay, back to dance news. Despite Nia's freeze up last week, Abby decides to give her the chance she has been waiting for - to fill the third spot in the trio with Maddie and Chloe. Unfortunately the girls don't place, and I have a bad feeling that Nia will get all the blame from Abby next week just because she isn't used to dancing with seasoned veterans Maddie and Chloe. One good thing going for Nia is that Holly has decided to take a leave of absence from work and can spend more time at the studio. Wait, did I say this was a good thing? Maybe spending more time around Abby isn't such a blessing. Only time will tell.
Abby's dancers are headed to the windy city this week and have to once again face their arch enemies, the Candy Apples. The girls get a lesson in humility when the theme of their dance focuses on homeless children, and I like the fact that Abby is trying to remind them about how lucky they are. Despite performing the routine well, they only place third ... but it's enough to beat Cathy and her little Apples. One Apple takes a bad spill on stage and looks like she might have to be replaced by Kendall for the rest of the dance season. Somehow I don't think Jill feels very bad for the hurt dancer.
Next week it looks like Chloe might actually forget her routine on stage! Well, at least Nia might feel a little better if it happens to someone else. What do you think of tonight's episode? Do you think Melissa is overreacting or should the moms stop asking her about her engagement? Leave your comments and come back to BuddyTV next week for your Dance Moms
