No one on this season's The X Factor has made quite the impression than 13-year-old Diamond White and 15-year-old Dinah Jane Hansen have. The two youngins have been powering their way through early on with their tremendous vocals and incredible range, making all of us wonder, how can a voice like that come from someone so young?
Case in point: Thursday's Boot Camp episode, which pit the two in a sing-off as they performed the Kelly Clarkson anthem "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)." The song was stripped down and slowed down, which allowed each to show off her strength and range.
Judge Britney Spears loved it so much she just had to let Kelly know. Clarkson, of course, knows a thing or two about singing competitions after becoming the inaugural champ of American Idol
to Kelly: "I hope you're watching girl! 2 beautiful, STRONG ladies singing Stronger!"
Kelly tweeted back
: "Just saw it on YouTube and Diamond & Dinah did awesome! Such young girls & already so talented! Tell them great job from me!"
Dinah starts off almost hauntingly and hits her high notes on point. Although she does fumble over the words a bit, there's no denying the talent. Diamond shows off her incredible runs and attacks the lyrics when she has to, and then dials it back to end the performance on a softer note.
