A lot of TV shows are on hiatus right now but there are still a lot to talk about, including pilot additions and a bunch of casting news. Read on to find out more.

Nick Carter drops by 90210: According to Entertainment Weekly, the Backstreet Boys member will be appearing as himself in the May 8 episode of the CW series which features Naimi throwing a bachelorette party for a bride-to-be who has a crush on Carter.

Vanessa Marano checks into Grey's Anatomy: So far, details of the actress' storyline are being kept in the dark but according to The Hollywood Reporter, she'll be playing a patient at Seattle Grace in the 20th episode of the season which is slated to air in April. In the meantime, fans can catch Marano as Bay Kennish on the ABC Family series Switched at Birth.

Dan Byrd and Josh Hopkins cast in TV pilots: It seems that as the numbers for Cougar Town continue to drop, its cast members are gradually getting other TV offers. First  it was Josh Hopkins, who recently joined NBC's comedy pilot, and now it's Dan Byrd, who plays Courteney Cox's on-screen son Travis. Deadline.com reports that the actor will headline Louis CK and Spike Feresten's untitled multicamera comedy pilot for CBS. The show focuses on Byrd's character Fred, who is described as a "bright but broke film editor who can't stand stupidity and serves as a sardonic observer of people and their foibles." For now, fans can still catch Cougar Town's third season, which will also feature Shawn Parikh as Travis' college roomate Sig in several episodes. Check out what the new kid has to say about Cougar Town in this interview.

Breaking In taps on Fred Williard: TV Guide reports that the veteran comedian, who recently appeared on Raising Hop and Rob, will be playing Megan Mullally's ex-husband, Marty. When Veronica bumps into her ex, as well as Marty's new and younger gal, she tries to persuade Cameron to join her in a dance-off against them. Breaking In, which got resurrected after FOX pulled the plug on the series after its first season, currently airs Tuesdays. Check out the review of the season 2 premiere here.

Adam Arkin to appear on Justified: The Sons of Anarchy villain will be gracing the Western-themed drama in the 11th episode, as well as the season 3 finale as Detroit mafia boss Theo Tonin, according to TV Guide. Arkin is no stranger to Justified, which has been renewed for another season, as he already directed five episodes of the show.

Paul Blackthorne guest stars on CSI: Entertainment Weekly reports that Blackthorne, who currently plays Clark Quietly on The River, will appear as a college professor named Tom on the CBS procedural. In the episode, one of his students end up dead after using unconventional methods to operate his own gossip blog. Tom defends the methods that his protege employed.

Jonathan Keltz cast on Fairly Legal: After playing Ari's assistant Jake on Entourage, Keltz will appear as a former high school quarter back and the number one suspect in the disappearance of his girlfriend on Fairly Legal, TV Guide has learned. Season 2 of Fairly Legal will premiere on Friday, March 16. Click here to learn about the premiere dates of other USA shows.
