Born in South Bend, Indiana, Dean Norris was educated in Harvard College. He has an extensive list of appearances in various television shows such as NYPD Blue, Murder One, Walker, Texas Ranger, Millennium, Nash Bridges, Pensacola: Wings of Gold, The Pretender, Boston Public, Six Feet Under, JAG and The District. His more recent television appearances include 24, where he played General Bowden, Tremors, where he played W.D. Twitchell, CSI, where he played Bob Durham, American Dreams, where he played Frank Moran, Without a Trace, Medium and Las Vegas. He also appeared in Cold Case, Nip/Tuck, Grey's Anatomy, and Breaking Bad, where he played Hank Schrader.

Hank Schrader is played by Dean Norris on AMC's Breaking Bad. A stocky man with a big mouth, Hank is the brother-in-law of Walter White. He is a DEA agent who is the total opposite of Walter, who dislikes guns as much as Hank loves them.
