Breaking Bad kicked off the season with Walter discovering that he has lung cancer.  Desperate to secure his family's financial future, he uses his science background to concoct a version of the drug crystal meth and teams up with a former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul), who turns a used RV into a mobile drug lab.

Last week's episode saw Walt plagued by the side effects of chemotherapy.  While the Drug Enforcement Administration's (DEA) investigation intensifies, Walter strikes a surprising deal when he pays a visit to a gangster named Tuco, who severely beat up Jesse and left him unconscious. Walt calls himself Heisenberg and demands $35,000 - $50,000 for the meth that Tuco stole from Jesse and another $15,000 for Jesse's pain and suffering.  To assert himself, he threatens to throw an entire bag of fulminated mercury on the floor, which will explode and kill them all.  Tuco, intimidated and impressed at the same time, agrees to Walter's demands and also agrees to be Walter's distributor.  He tells Walter to produce a pound of meth a week for $35,000.  Walter upgrades it to two pounds for $70,000.  Walter gets back into his car with the meth and money, scared but amazed at what he just accomplished.

On tonight's season ender, Walter becomes more comfortable with his new criminal identity after a PTA meeting takes place.  Later, he runs into some “production problems,” which calls for a nearly impossible mission to knock off a chemical supply house.  Meanwhile, Jesse decides to sell his aunt's house after a bathroom fiasco.

As for Skyler's sister Marie (Betsy Brandt), she throws a baby shower for Skyler and presents her with an unusual gift that shows a different side of the aunt-to-be.
