Christian Clemenson is an Emmy Award-winning actor who was born on November 11, 1959. He appears as one of the members of the cast in the ABC network's legal drama television series Boston Legal. Clemenson grew up during his early childhood in Humboldt, Iowa. The son of a drug store owner, he worked for the Des Moines Register during his younger teen years. Thanks to his excellent top grades in junior high, the Register awarded him with an academic scholarship to Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts. Clemenson would eventually go on to graduate from Harvard College and the Yale School of Drama.
Jerry Espenson is portrayed by Christian Clemenson in the ABC network's show Boston Legal. He is nicknamed “Hands” because of his habit of constantly keeping his hands stiffly set upon his thighs before him. Espenson suffers from Asperger's syndrome, which stunts his social skills and gives him a number of unusual physical habits. Among these is purring under his breath when he's annoyed, and mildly “whooping” or hyperventilating when he makes an error. However, he is also an exceptionally gifted lawyer and brilliant legal mind, having graduated with both a Juris Doctor and an MBA from Harvard Law School.
