Last week's episode of
Boston Legal marked the appearance of Larry Miller as Edwin Poole, Christopher Rich as Attorney Melvin Palmer and Kwesi as Justin Turnip' Graves in an episode that featured a Thanksgiving get-together that turned into a dysfunctional family affair. This week,
Betty White returns as the gossipy, open-minded and calculating character Catherine Piper.
Read on to find out what's in store for tonight's
Boston Legal episode.
In the 11th episode of
Boston Legal's fifth season called “Juiced,” the murderous Catherine Piper returns following her appearance in "Happy Trails" where she unintentionally blew up her doctor after setting his office on fire for prescribing medication that almost killed her.
Perhaps best known for her role as Rose on
The Golden Girls, White was first seen in "From Whence We Came" where she applied for Alan's secretarial job. At the time, she managed to offend everyone but befriended Bernard Ferrian, one of Alan Shore's clients - a man who killed his mother and his neighbor with a skillet. Worried about his urge to kill again, she ended up hitting him with a skillet as well. She was eventually tried for murder and though she was acquitted, she was fired by Shirley Schmidt (
Candice Bergen) shortly after. Subsequently, she committed two armed robberies at super markets, but escaped these charges. She also tried to smuggle an elderly patient out of a nursing home in which she was treated badly. Realizing that Catherine only wanted attention, Shirley hired her as the sandwich and cake lady at the firm, eventually taking over Garrett Wells office for her job.
Aside from the return of Betty White, “Juiced” also centers on Alan Shore (
James Spader) as he tries to convince the Massachusetts Supreme Court to let his best friend Denny (
William Shatner) have access to a non-FDA approved drug that could slow down his worsening state after learning a disturbing prognosis about the progression of his Alzheimer's disease.
Boston Legal airs tonight at 10pm on ABC.
