No, Bored to Death isn't canceled yet.
In fact, the much-unappreciated HBO comedy is set to return for its second season this September, and the cabler has released a short teaser as appetizer. Zach Galifianakis, who had since gathered mainstream attention thanks to The Hangover, is back as the loser-y but good-natured sidekick of protagonist Jonathan Ames, played by Jason Schwartzman.
Teaser after the jump:
On
Bored to Death, Jonathan is a writer struggling with writer's block, so for the mean time he moonlights as an unlicensed private detective. His best friend, also a bit unsuccessful in his first field, sometimes joins him in his missions, alongside his eccentric boss George Christopher, played by Ted Danson.
Just to give you an idea of how subtly crazy things get on
Bored to Death, last season, woefully short at just 8 episodes, saw a sperm-hoarding lesbian couple, a Russian parolee and filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, who appeared as himself. There is also much weed and smoking.
